While the YSA BD03 dual servo spindle provides exceptional rigidity and 0.003mm radial runout, improper technique can still compromise results. Here are five critical precautions for deep hole drilling with YSA servo spindles.


1. Optimize Peck Drilling Cycles

Never attempt full-depth drilling in a single pass for deep holes. The YSA CNC control system allows precise programming of peck cycles.

Recommendation: Set peck depth to 1-2 times the drill diameter per cycle, with sufficient retraction distance to fully evacuate chips.
